Senior scientist in the working group 4.8.4 Geothermal Fluids
- R&D projects (third party funding, planning, scientific realisation, administration and coordination)
- project management and controlling
- supervision of internships, master and PhD students
- management of fluid monitoring lab

geochemical processes in geothermal fluids under high pressure/high temperature conditions
real time detektion and prevention of scaling, metal extraction/adsorption
organic and polymer chemistry, multifunctional biomaterials

translation of scientific results into industrial application

Career:
Jörg Zotzmann has obtained his PhD in the field of Organic Chemistry and has a lot of experience in multifunctional polymers. In his research at the GFZ he concentrates on the chemistry of geothermal fluids in general and scaling and metal extraction in particular. Jörg is experienced in applying experimental and analytical techniques under high pressure/high temperature conditions. He also holds a MBA degree with specialization on project controlling.
