The GFZ is a partner of the GeoTHERM expo & congress, which will take place for the 18th time in Offenburg on 20 + 21 February 2025. It is Europe's largest geothermal energy trade fair and congress. Every year, the trade fair picks up on the latest developments in the industry and provides a platform dedicated exclusively to the topic of geothermal energy.

The GFZ will be represented by the Geoenergy Section and will have an exhibition stand on site. Our scientists will also contribute to the congress programme with specialist presentations. The congress on shallow and deep geothermal energy, which will take place parallel to the trade fair, remains a central element of GeoTHERM. This is where international experts meet to exchange innovations and experience reports. Visitors will be presented with a wealth of expertise, current developments and the latest field reports. Due to the highly international nature of the event, all presentations will be simultaneously translated into German and English.
