Dr. Kai Deng spent the Humboldt Research Fellowship for PostDocs in Section 3.3 from July 2023 to mid-March 2024 and worked with Prof. von Blanckenburg and other members of the group on the research topics of erosion and weathering of the Earth's surface using isotope geochemistry.

Kai has now been appointed as a Tenure-track Associate Professor at Tongji University in Shanghai, China. We wish Kai every success and all the best for this new position and would like to thank him for the successful collaboration here in our section.
