Katharina Wetterauer successfully defended her doctoral thesis entitled “Spatiotemporal evolution of headwall erosion rates in glacial landscapes in the Swiss Alps” at the Freie Universität Berlin on February 16th, 2024. Congratulations!
From September 2018 to November 2023, Katharina worked with Prof. Dirk Scherler, Donovan Dennis and Deniz Gök in the COLD project and determined erosion rates of ice-free steep slopes on mountain glaciers using cosmogenic nuclide concentrations in medial moraine debris and investigated how these rates change with climate.
We wish Katharina all the best and much success for her new, exciting job at the Universität der Bundeswehr München.
