On 4 July 2024, Dr Angelo Strollo received the GFZ ‘Science Management 2022’ award.
He received this award for his outstanding role in the management of the three pillars of the GEOFON earthquake service (global seismic network, data archive and earthquake monitoring) and for his great services to the GFZ's extensive EU project Geo-INQUIRE (https://www.geo-inquire.eu/), in which 51 partner institutions from 13 countries are involved and of which he is project director.
