At the GFZ summer party on July 4, the GFZ Innovation Prize for 2022 was presented retrospectively. The prize, worth 20,000 euros, went equally to Section 1.1 and Section 4.4. Section 1.1 was honored for its activities in the field of contract research and services (e.g., including ESA contracts in Benjamin Männel's working group), for successful innovation projects in the field of GNSS and GFZ-RNX, for new license agreements and high license income, and for above-average spin-off activities (including spin-offs GeoBM GmbH, founder Zhiguo Deng and maRam UG, founder: Markus Ramatschi).
