Scientific interests:
My main research interests are experiments aimed to determine physical and chemical data of fluids, melts and solids under pressure and temperature. These data are used to calculate, e.g., element- and isotope-partitioning or of phase equilibria, for a better understanding of hydrothermal, magmatic and metamorphic processes. The questions of projects exclusively arise from nature and are tackeled by the use of modern experimental and analytical methods.
Actually, I am interested in light elements (e.g., boron, lithium, hydrogen, nitrogen) and their isotopes, which partitioning between phases provide fundamental insights about, e.g., material cycles on Earth or processes of ore formation.
