2. Meso-scale rainfall-runoff model (mHM)

The mesoscale hydrological model mHM is a raster-based process-oriented rainfall-runoff model that simulates the main processes of runoff generation at daily or hourly resolution. mHM uses the Multiscale Parameter Regionalization (MPR) method to achieve a consistent and effective model parameterization at different model resolutions based on catchment characteristics such as topography, soil properties, land use, etc. by means of transfer functions. mHM is developed in the Department Computational Hydrosystems at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ).Further information on mHM.
