MOMS-02: Design of Multispectral Bands
The spectral bands of MOMS-02 have been newly designed at wavelengths in the VIS/NIR range. Narrow widths and optimized centers of bands have been calculated on the basis of spectral characteristics of vegetation and Fe2+/3+ bearing targets, including solar irradiation and atmospheric absorptions. Advantages result for:
- Distinct detection and differentiation of healthy and stressed vegetational species
- Improved spectral discrimination of rock/soils in the VNIR range
