"Projects & International Affairs - PI" is the GFZ's central point of contact for all information relating to project advice and international relations. The PI also supports the science and education diplomacy activities of the GFZ and the Helmholtz Association.

• Support scientists at GFZ throughout the initiation, coordination and implementation of international cooperations • Promote the internationalisation of the GFZ
• Offer individual consulting on all aspects of EU research funding, from the project idea, initiation and proposal submission to the implementation and successful finalisation
• Inform (and consult) about further third-party funded international projects
•  Strengthen the GFZ brand internationally
