GRACE/GRACE-FO Sciene Team Meeting 2022
The GRACE/GRACE-FO Science Team Meeting (GSTM) 2022 took place at the Helmholtz Centre Potsdam – GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences, Potsdam, Germany, from 18 to 20 October 2022.
Session recordings for on-demand view: All registered participants have the opportunity to watch recordings of the oral sessions until 13 November 2022. Corresponding video buttons will appear next to the session names when browsing the meeting program.
The meeting was held in a hybrid format with a total number of 167 participants (on-site: 91, online: 76).
As usual, the GSTM2022 featured several topical sessions on specific themes. The program was composed of 85 oral presentations (65 thereof presented on-site in Potsdam, the others presented virtually via Zoom) and 17 posters (available for on-site participants only).
The meeting started with a detailed GRACE-FO Project Status session (A.1) which, as a novelty at the GSTM, also included two hours of open discussion. This allowed the GRACE-FO project members to provide a detailed description of data processing and considered plans regarding the mission on the one hand, as well as the science and user community to ask questions and provide valuable feedback to the project on the other. The following sessions covered the topics analysis techniques of GRACE/GRACE-FO mission data (A.2), Next Generation Gravity Missions (A.3) and applications of mass transport data in the fields of solid Earth sciences (B.1), cryosphere (B.2), oceanography (B.3), and hydrology (B.4). Further topics were presented in sessions about multidisciplinary science (B.5) and applications (B.6).
