We develop and apply mathematical simulation models to investigate coupled processes relevant to the utilisation of the geological subsurface and mining regions to support energy transition. Our main objective is the realisation of holistic valuation approaches by the quantitative description of hydrosystems required for environmental and economic risk assessments.
