01.10.2015: Dr. Werner Köckeritz joins GFZ as Chief Information Officer (CIO). A main goal of this newly created position that is directly reporting to the Executive Board is a future-oriented adjustment of the information and communication technology at GFZ.

Werner Köckeritz, a trained economist, successfully realized complex IT process optimization and implementation projects in different key industries. He did his PhD thesis in Political Sciences and is a certified coach and mediator. Dr. Köckeritz has 30 years of professional experience as a CIO as well as an implementation consultant with profound experience in the field of economics and technology.
